The 2025 Season here at Parlee Farms is upon us and we’re so excited to see you all this year! This will be our 39th year in business and everything is off to a great start. We are so excited to note that we will be opening next week! All of our crops are ready to go and they look great. As usual, we will be kicking off the season with our pick your own strawberries. Here’s a look at what you can expect:
What We Did in the Off-Season
We always close at the end of apple and pumpkin season. We spend time with family, enjoy the holidays, and then get ready for the coming year. Farming is year round. We spend most of the winter pruning our trees and blueberry bushes. Although our farm isn’t open after October, a farmer’s job is never fully done!
This year, we have been hard at workpreparing a new, updated website for you to enjoy. You’ll notice a clean, modernized design that has all the same elements you’ve come to enjoy about our website, with some improvements.

What We Did To Prepare Our Crops
We open in early to mid June. Even though we aren’t open in the spring, it is probably our busiest time. What we do at this time to the plants can make or break the success for the coming year. Here’s a look at some of the things we did to prepare during winter and spring:
- Pruned 22 acres of apples, 12 acres of blueberries, 5 acres of peaches and cherries
- Covered strawberry plants with hay
- Dug up our Dahlia bulbs and stored them over the winter
- Planted 1800 apple trees, 50 cherry trees and 360 blueberry bushes in early spring
- Modernized our irrigation system
- Attended winter conferences to learn new farming techniques
Fun Things to Do for 2025:
- Pick your own Strawberries, Cherries, Blueberries, Flowers, Peaches, Apples, and Pumpkins. All the crops came through the winter and look great!
- Harvest Festivals – live music and beer/hard cider! Stay tuned for dates
- Story time with the Tyngsboro Public Library and CTI. Free event for kids offered 1-2x per month in the Summer
- And much more!
