We are excited to announce that we have been named the Best Apple Orchard by Newsweek Magazine’s 2024 Readers Choice Awards. The initial farms on the list were chosen by a panel of experts, and then readers voted on their favorite from that list. Readers cited the warm atmosphere, excellent food, fun activities, and our variety as being some of the reasons why they chose us.

So, we have you to thank for this honor! his honor means so much to us as it reflects the love and support of our amazing community and visitors from near and far. We’re grateful for everyone who took the time to vote and make this recognition possible.

Experience Our Apple Harvest

As the apple season winds down, we reflect on the past year. Our apple orchards are open from August through October, and we have a variety of apples that are perfect for picking, such as Honeycrisp, Cortland, and Macoun. We love providing our guests with the best apple-picking experience, and we’re so excited that our visitors agree!

We offer hayrides on the weekends that take you to our deepest orchards and this is a big part of the experience for a lot of our guests. After filling your basket, head back to our Farmstand, where the smell of fresh apple cider donuts will have your mouth watering. Watching our team dust those warm, delicious donuts with cinnamon and sugar is a treat in itself!

Enjoy Family Fun 

Your day at Parlee Farms as about more than just picking apples and going home. First of all, we have fruit available throughout the growing season to pick, such as strawberries and cherries. We also have a field filled with flowers so you can pick your own. We have flowers available through October when we close for the season!

We also have family-friendly activities for you to enjoy, such as our animal barns where this season, we had over thirty baby goats born! For younger children who love to play, our sandbox area is a must-visit. With diggers, dump trucks, and shovels, it’s a free and fun space for kids to unwind after a busy day of fruit picking.

Get Something to Eat

One thing that makes us stand out is that we have some delicious, farm-fresh treats for you to enjoy, such as our non-GMO roasted corn and homemade apple crisp. We also have some lunch options, such as chicken and veggie wraps and pulled pork. You can also stop in on our ice cream stand, with ice cream made fresh at a local farm. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty lunch or a quick snack, we’ve got you covered.

Being recognized as the Best Apple Orchard is an incredible honor, and we owe it all to our wonderful visitors and loyal customers.
