Summer is underway here at Parlee Farms and this is the perfect time to visit! Strawberries and cherries are done for the season, but our blueberries are currently underway. Check our Farm News page before you come, though, to see what we have available. They are ripe, sweet, juicy, and ready to pick. We also have a lot of other great activities for you to enjoy while you’re here.
What to Do at Parlee Farms Right Now
Blueberries
Blueberry season is here. Come and pick your own or buy some freshly picked blueberries in the farm stand.
Farm Stand
Enjoy what we have to offer at the farm stand. This includes freshly picked blueberries and other fruit, we may even have some of our cherries and strawberries for you to buy! Although strawberries and cherries are finished for pick your own, we still have some to sell. We also sell local vegetables, honey, and more.
Baked Goods
While at the farm stand, be sure to visit our bakery for scones, tea breads, whoopee pies, cookies, and more. Hint – buy some scones when you buy our fruit. It makes an excellent base for strawberry shortcake, blueberry cobbler, and more.
To Make Fruit Shortcake: Toss freshly washed fruit with sugar and let it set for about 30 minutes. Place onto a scone and top with whipped cream. This makes for a delicious, quick, and simple summer dessert! If using cherries, put them first.
Flowers
We have some flowers available for picking. Please check Today’s Farm News to see which flowers we have available to pick your own.
Mary’s Country Kitchen
Do you want something sweet? Come to Mary’s Country kitchen for treats like ice cream, warm blueberry crisp, old fashioned strawberry shortcake, frozen drinks, and more. These treats hit the spot after picking your own fruit and flowers! If you want lunch, be sure to check out The Lunch Box, which is available most days starting in July.
Animals and Sandbox
Stop in and visit and feed our animals. We have so many baby goats, sheep, and chickens! The Sandbox is open, t oo.
