Pick Your Own Apples at Parlee Farms
To remind you how much fun apple picking season is at Parlee Farms in Tyngsboro, MA (near Lowell), take a look at our apple picking at Parlee Farms.
At Parlee Farms, our Lowell MA area apple orchard covers over fifteen acres. It is comprised of dwarf apple trees which, although small in stature, produce large, delicious apples. Typically from late August until mid-October, we have over OVER 20 VARIETIES OF APPLES available including Honey Crisp, MacIntosh, Gala, Early Fuji, Macoun, Cortland, Royal Empire, Decoster Jonagold, Cameo, and Golden Delicious.
“A customer once told us that at Parlee Farms, we help create memories.”
On weekends and fall holidays, a hayride to our apple orchard is included as part of your purchase of an apple bag. You can see our beautiful farm on your way to the orchard. After picking, the hayride will bring you back to the Farmstand, where you continue your perfect fall afternoon.
Please check TODAY’S FARM NEWS for apple picking hours, prices, and varieties available on any given day. For the 2016 Season, we expect to have excellent weekend picking with hayrides taking apple pickers to the orchard. We do not plan on having much, if any, weekday picking due to a freeze in April reducing the apples available in the portion of the orchard we use for weekday picking. Farming is can sometimes be unpredictable and we thank you for understanding!
While at the Farmstand, take time to watch our Apple Cider Donuts being made right before your eyes ~ Voted the BEST CIDER DONUT by the viewers of NECN! You can order a Warm Apple Crisp at Mary’s Country Kitchen to enjoy at one of our picnic tables. A visit to Annie’s Animal Barns to feed our friendly farm animals is a great family activity. And for our littlest customers, a run around the Hay Play Area or a spin around Farmer Mark’s Tractor Training Course are great ways to finish a fun fall day at Parlee Farms!
